Fourth Bluesfest Artist Announcement Includes Toto, Chaka Khan and Christopher Cross
Bluesfest Byron Bay solidifies itself as one of the country’s best festivals with another incredible lineup.
Just when you thought Bluesfest Byron Bay couldn’t get any more exciting, Bluesfest OAM Director Peter Noble and his crew have dropped a fourth lineup announcement featuring some of the biggest acts from across the globe.
The fourth artist lineup is headlined by R&B legend Chaka Khan whose set will be a celebration of her 50+ year career. Expect to hear iconic tracks such as ‘I’m Every Woman’ and ‘Ain’t Nobody’ when the recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee takes to the stage.
Also added to the lineup are yacht rock superstars Toto, five-time Grammy winner Christopher Cross and Polynesian artist Maoli.
Rounding out the new artists are soulful funk act Clarence Bekker Band, blues, roots and folk act Hussy Hicks, versatile vocalist Eric Stang and the winners of the 2024 Bluesfest Busking Competition – The Steele Syndicate and The Royals.
These new names join a stacked bill of national and international talent that includes Kiwi legends Crowded House, blues greats George Thorogood & The Destroyers, South Aussie hip hop gurus Hilltop Hoods, multi-instrumentalist and singer John Butler, funk collective The Cat Empire, country singer Kasey Chambers blues wonder Gary Clark Jr. and more.
The final edition of Bluesfest Byron Bay is a four-day event held over the Easter long weekend from April 17 to 20, 2025, at the beautiful 300-acre Byron Events Farm.

Bluesfest OAM Director Peter Noble is excited about the new lineup of artists performing at next year’s event, releasing this statement: “While this lineup focuses on our homegrown talent, it’s still a strong Blues and Roots announcement, staying true to the heart of what Bluesfest has always been about. I can’t begin to tell you how many incredible artists have reached out, wanting to be part of our final festival.
“Scores of amazing talents from across the country have thrown their hats in the ring. It’s a testament to how special this festival is to the Australian music community. As much as I would love to include everyone, there are only so many spots we can fit into one lineup.”
Byron Bay Bluesfest 2025 takes place from Thursday, April 17 to Sunday, April 20 at Byron Events Farm. Tickets are on sale now via Moshtix.
