Canadian electronic musician Caribou returns to Australia next year for a run of headline shows. Having already been announced as part of this year’s Lost Paradise New Year’s Eve festival, Caribou has revealed five additional dates, including his first shows in Perth and Adelaide since 2015.

The tour arrives in support of Caribou’s forthcoming sixth album, Honey, dropping October 4 via Merge (pre-order/pre-save the album here).

In the leadup to the album’s release, Caribou founder Dan Snaith has shared the EP Come Find Me, a collection of the four singles he’s released from Honey – ‘Volume’, ‘Honey’, ‘Broke My Heart’ and ‘Come Find Me’.

After performing at Lost Paradise – held from Saturday, December 28 to Wednesday, January 1 2025 at Glenworth Valley – Caribou kicks off his run of headline concerts in Brisbane at Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, January 2. Then it’s off to Sydney for a gig at Enmore Theatre on Friday, January 3, followed by dates in Melbourne at PICA on Friday, January 4, Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide on Sunday, January 5 and Arts Centre South Lawn in Fremantle on Tuesday, January 7.

Caribou is bringing along a host of special guests on tour, with Sydney-based DJ and producer Harry Hayes performing in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Rising Yuggera woman and Brisbane-based DJ Dameeeela will make her presence felt in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide, while the City of Church’s own electronic maestro Theodore Kittens will take to the stage in his hometown. The Fremantle date will feature Bad Whip and Ben Taaffe b2b Rick Riley.

Tickets for all shows and Caribou’s Lost Paradise Festival appearance are on sale now. Head to Feel Presents for all the ticketing info.

Honey is the follow-up to Caribou’s uplifting 2020 album Suddenly. If the singles released are anything to go by, Honey is shaping as an exciting collection of dancefloor grooves. Speaking about the album, Snaith says: “I’m still chasing that thrill of when something hits really hard and I find myself jumping up and down or the hairs standing up on my arms in excitement. How lucky am I that that’s never gone away?

“That the chance of making something new and exciting is still as exhilarating as ever. And as much fun as ever. Starting the day with nothing and (finishing most days with nothing good but occasionally…) having something that didn’t exist before stuck in my head by the end of the day. It still seems like a kind of alchemy.”

After entertaining Aussie audiences in January, Caribou returns to the UK for a massive February tour that includes three sold out dates at The Roundhouse in London.

Catch Caribou at Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday, January 5. Tickets on sale now via Moshtix. Pre-order/pre-save your copy of Honey here.
