Celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine, Toronto’s Death From Above 1979 have announced four Australian shows taking place across the county in April 2025.

Consisting of bassist Jesse F. Keeler and drummer and vocalist Sebastien Grainger, Death From Above 1979 took the world by storm with their hybrid dance-rock sound in the early 00s. After just six years together and one album, they went their separate ways before reforming in 2011 and have continued to release music and tour.

The band’s 2025 Australian tour kicks off at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Tuesday, April 22 and continues at Adelaide’s The Gov on Wednesday, April 23 and Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Friday, April 25, before the lads finish up with a final concert at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Saturday, April 26.

Pre-sale tickets are available from 8:30am local time this Thursday, October 24. You can register for access here. General on-sale begins on Friday, October 25 at 8:30am local time via Teamwrk Touring.

Fans can expect to hear cuts from You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine along with the band’s more recent work, including tracks from their 2021 album, Is 4 Lovers.

Considering how long it’s been between drinks, fans of the band won’t want to miss Death From Above 1979 when they touch down in Australia as part of their 20th Anniversary tour next year.
