Today, MusicSA has announced Good Music Month will return to the state for its second iteration. This year, the state advocacy body promises to deliver a bigger and broader program that puts the spotlight directly on South Australia’s vibrant music scene.

Are you ready to get involved? Registrations for Good Music Month 2024 are 100% free – any artist, venue or event is welcome to submit their gig at no cost, helping fuel the diversity of this year’s program.

Good Music Month aims to transform South Australia into a thriving, state-wide, open-access festival for 30 days and 30 nights, inviting music lovers, music makers and organisations to celebrate the live scene. No genre is off limits! And the same goes with the venue…

Of course, Good Music Month coincides with the 2024 South Australian Music Awards which this year, will take place at Dom Polski Centre on November 7. There’ll be more than 30 categories at this year’s event, highlighting the best individuals behind some of your favourite songs, albums, festivals, studios, venues and more.

Whether it’s a standout live performance, innovative sound engineering, or the tireless work of industry representatives, the SA Music Awards are an opportunity to honour those who have made a significant impact in the music landscape over the past year. Nominations will close on September 17, 2024.

“Good Music Month and the South Australian Music Awards are two pillars of our state's music scene—one amplifies live music across every corner of SA, while the other celebrates the sheer talent and diversity of our industry,” says MusicSA CEO, Christine Schloithe. “Let’s come together to showcase, celebrate, and drive the future of live music in South Australia."
