The 80s pop star will be playing all her big hits, including ‘Kids In America’ and ‘Cambodia’.
Metropolis Touring is proud to announce that 80s pop superstar Kim Wilde is touring Australia this October. Earmarked as her ‘Greatest Hits’ tour, Wilde will be playing all her big singles, including ‘Kids In America’, ‘You Keep Me Hangin’ On’, ‘If I Can’t Have You’ and many more. The blonde bombshell will play seven shows across the country, including a stop in Adelaide at The Gov on Thursday 24 October.
The tour kicks off in Brisbane at The Tivoli on Thursday 17 October before hitting Twin Towns in Tweed Heads on Friday 18 October, the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Saturday 19 October, Anita’s Theatre in Wollongong on Sunday 22 October, the Astor Theatre in Perth on Tuesday 22 October and The Gov in Adelaide on Thursday 24 October, before finishing up at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Saturday 26 October.
Australia fell in love with Kim Wilde in the 80s, much like the rest of the world. Six of her singles reached the ARIA Top 50 Single Chart, with her cover of The Supremes’ ‘You Keep Me Hanging On’ going straight to the top in 1986. Wilde has also sold a whopping 30 million records globally, making her the most successful British female artist of the 80s.
This is the first time Wilde has toured Australia in eight years, so demand for tickets is sure to be high. Pre-sale tickets go on sale today at 10:30 am, with general sale starting at 10:30 am, Thursday 14 March. Tickets will be available via Metropolis Touring and David Roy Williams.
