Jazz Singer Nicole Zuraitis Touring Australia This Month

 

The Grammy Award winner is performing an intimate concert at Trinity Sessions.

New York-based bandleader, jazz singer-songwriter and pianist Nicole Zuraitis kicks off her Australian tour this week.

The Grammy Award-winning is one of the most prolific jazz enthusiasts on the planet, having won the prestigious 2021 American Traditions Vocal Competition Gold Medal.

Zuraitis has seven concerts planned for this month, beginning in Edge Hill at Tanks Arts Centre on Thursday, October 10. She then has gigs at the Brisbane Vocal Jazz Festival on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12, Maleny Arts Council in Maleyn on Sunday, October 13, Burrinja Cultural Centre in Upwey on Thursday, October 17, and Melbourne International Jazz Festival on Friday, October 18.

The final two dates of the tour take place at Trinity Sessions in Adelaide on Saturday, October 19 and at Ellington Jazz Club in Perth on Sunday, October 20 and Monday, October 21.

There isn’t a lot Nicole Zuraitis hasn’t achieved in her career thus far. Not only has she won a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album for her album How Love Begins, making her the first artist ever to win the award, but she’s also performed at some of the most famous jazz clubs in New York City, including Dizzy’s Club and Birdland.

Plaudits came from everywhere for her arrangement of Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’, which earned her a 2019 Grammy Award nomination, while her lockdown series of YouTube “Virtual Piano Lounge” videos turned her into a viral sensation.

Having collaborated with the likes of Christian McBride, David Cook, Veronica Swift, Cyrille Aimee Dave Stryker, Helen Sung and more, Zuraitis’ Australian tour is your chance to enjoy her live for an incredible night of live music.
