Screamfeeder, one of the most underrated bands to come out of the Aussie alt-rock scene of the ‘90s, return with The Ending Goes Forever, a documentary film chronicling the band’s three-decade plus career.
A nostalgic warts and all deep dive into the history of Screamfeeder, the doco features never-before-seen footage of the band and interviews with critics, fans and Aussie rock royalty, including Magic Dirt’s Adalita and Regurgitator’s Ben Ely.
“A feature-length documentary about a band who emerged from the cultural explosion that changed Brisbane forever, and who continue to forge their way through Australian culture,” reads the official synopsis.
The South Australian premiere of The Ending Goes Forever takes place at The Piccadilly on Thursday, June 5. Tickets are on sale now via humanitix.com.
The following night, Screamfeeder’s Tim Steward and Kellie Lloyd are performing an intimate gig at The Golden Wattle. The duo will perform Screamfeeder favourites and share stories from their storied career, with support coming from Adelaide's folk rocker Alana Jagt.
The event is free for those who attended the screening of The Ending Goes Forever, while those without tickets can grab one for just $10 via humanitix.com.

Bursting onto the scene in 1991, Screamfeeder, then comprised of vocalist and guitarist Tim Steward, bassist and vocalist Kellie Lloyd and drummer Tony Blades, fast became one of the country’s brightest acts.
In the space of a couple of years, the band dropped two albums (1992’s Four and 1993's follow-up Burn Out Your Name), toured Europe and had a US record deal lined up. But just as it seemed Screamfeeder were about to hit the big time, the band turned down offers to sign for the major labels and continued as an independent act, becoming one of the most beloved touring bands of the ‘90s.
Although undergoing several lineup changes over the years, the core duo of Steward and Lloyd remain, and together they have kept Screamfeeder’s unique Aussie rock sound alive.
The band’s most recent release, Demolition (grab a copy here), is split into four albums featuring 48 demos, 24 unreleased originals and 32 instrumentals, offering fans a comprehensive history of the band and the chance to listen to never-before-heard tracks from the Screamfeeder’s epic career.
