NOTESTOCK 2 DROPS FIRST LINEUP

Mark your calendars – Notestock is saddling up for its second rodeo and you’re invited!

We’re back at Unibar this November 29 for a massive throwdown featuring bands, brews, boots ‘n’ bucking bulls. Wrap up the Good Music Month fun at our closing party with some of the best local and interstate acts going round. Seven acts. No clashes. All ages. Lots of fun.

Strap in! Here’s our first lineup drop…

Headlining the 2024 festival is Private Function, the raucous Victroian punk rockers who are very much still on top! They’ll be joined by Adelaide’s own six-headed hydra, West Thebarton, who’ve just released their runaway sophomore album Mongrel Australia and are ready to send Notestock’s crowd into overdrive.

Rounding out the first lineup is local indie-pop favourties The Tullamarines, who just wrapped a national headline tour, Tulampanga Pakana hip-hop juggernaut RULLA, fast and loose punk rockers LOOCH and Queensland alt-rockers Concrete Gold.

There’s plenty more good stuff where that came from. Stay tuned for our second lineup drop – coming soon! – plus the bevy of booze producers, market stalls and activities taking place throughout the afternoon.

First release tickets are on sale now for $35 + fees! Don’t snooze, grab yours today here. Notestock 2 takes place at Unibar Adelaide on November 29.

GET TO KNOW WHO’S PLAYING NOTESTOCK

Private Function

Melbourne punk outfit Private Function are the wildcards of the Australian music scene. They’re anarchic, surreal and counter commercial — it’s impossible to predict their next move. They’ve released albums filled with urine, had a record banned in South Australia and consistently sell out live shows. But who’s surprised? Private Function will always be ON TOP!

West Thebarton

Fresh from the release of their sophomore album Mongrel Australia, Adelaide’s own six-headed hydra West Thebarton are ready to rock. Anyone who has caught the band live knows how well the outfit can wrangle a moshpit and send punters into overdrive — it’s all part of West Theb’s charm. Don’t miss seeing these homegrown heroes unleash with their balls-to-the-wall rock noise.

The Tullamarines

The Tullamarines are on an unstoppable rise right now. This year alone, the indie-pop rock four-piece have played at Sydeny’s SXSW, been nominated for two SA Music Awards, released runaway single ‘Loser’, toured with the likes of Polish Club and ticked off a string of headline shows. What’s more, their music is fresh, fun and top-notch. Don’t believe us? Give their earworm EP Ugly Cry a spin.

RULLA

One half of dynamic outfit MARLON X RULLA, Rulla Kelly-Mansel is a force to be reckoned with. The MC’s words are to the point and piercing while his style is undeniably fresh. Having already ticked off performing alongisde the late Archie Roach, opening for Midnight Oils at WOMAD, playing Dark Mofo and touring with the likes of Xavier Rudd, Rulla is one of the most exciting artists to watch right now.

LOOCH

Cut from the same cloth as pun-packed punk masters Dune Rats and genre heavyweights Violent Soho, Looch have burst through Adelaide’s scene with a loose energy and songs that should soundtrack surf movies. The quartet are here for a good time and good time only, cutting straight to the point of what live music is all about: having fun.

CONCRETE GOLD

Queensland’s Concrete Gold take what made the ’90s Australian rock scene standout and melds it with the fresh wave of homegrown indie. It’s a sound that’s undeniably catchy, buoyed by its catchy hooks, unrelenting bass and high octane energy. No wonder they’ve supported legendary Australian acts You Am I and Wolfmother!
