The Necks Announce New Album ‘Bleed’ & 2025 Australian Tour

 

Bleed is the trio’s 20th album and is currently available on vinyl and CD.

Aussie trailblazers The Necks are back with their 20th album, Bleed. Currently available on vinyl and CD (with a digital release scheduled for October 18), the record is a single, 42-minute composition The Neck’s bassist Lloyd Swanton says “is easily the stillest album we've ever done.”

Comprising the aforementioned Swanton, Chris Abrahams (piano) and Tony Buck (drums/percussion), the jazz trio have also revealed a run of dates for 2025. The Necks’ have locked in eight shows with more to be announced in the coming weeks.

The first performance takes place at Byron Theatre in Byron Bay on Friday, January 24 and is followed by gigs at Old Museum in Brisbane on Saturday, January 25, Melbourne Recital Centre in Melbourne on Friday, January 31, The Street Theatre in Canberra on Saturday, February 8, and Four Winds: Windson Pavilion in Barragga Bay on Sunday, February 9.

The trio then performs at Woodville Town Hall in Adelaide on Friday, February 21, City Recital Hall in Sydney on Wednesday, February 26 and Theatre Royal in Hobart on Friday, February 28.
