For the first time ever, British thrash metal titans Onslaught are touring Australia in 2025.

Heading Down Under as part of their world tour celebrating the 40th anniversary of their seminal 1985 debut album, Power From Hell. Regarded as one of the pioneering heavy metal albums and responsible for birthing the term ‘Death Metal’, the album is 12 tracks of hard rocking thrash metal.

Touring the national for the first and last time, Onslaught will perform tracks from Power From Hell along with all the headbanging crowd favourites from their four-decade spanning career.

Touching down in Australia in November 2025, Onslaught’s first concert takes place at Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Friday, November 14. This is followed by metal gigs at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Saturday, November 15, Canberra’s The Baso on Wednesday, November 19, Sydney’s The Underground on Thursday, November 20 and Brisbane’s Soapbox Beer on Friday, November 21, before the final show at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Saturday, November 22.

Breaking out with their debut album Power From Hell in 1985, Onslaught established themselves as one of the UK’s premier thrash metal acts. They followed up with The Force in 1986 and In Search of Sainty in 1989, with the latter reaching #4 on the UK Album Chart.

Considered one of the ‘big four’ of British thrash metal along with Sabbat, Xentrix and Acid Reign, Onslaught went through several lineup changes during the late 80s before calling it quits in 1991.

Reforming in 2005, Onslaught have toured the globe several times over and released four more albums, Killing Peace (2007), Sounds of Violence (2011), VI (2013) and Generation Antichrist (2020), which was praised by critics.

Arriving in Australia in November 2025, the current lineup of sole original member Nige Rockett (lead guitar) and Jeff Williams (bass guitar), James Perry (drums), Wayne Dorman (guitar) and Dave Garnett (vocals) are excited to finally tour the country after a four-decade career.

Catch Onslaught at Lion Arts Factory on Saturday, November 15. Tickets on sale now via Moshtix.
