ZZ Top Announce 2025 Australian Tour
The American rock act will be joined by blues greats George Thorogood and the Destroyers.

Texas rockers ZZ Top have announced they are heading our way in 2025 on The Elevation Tour. The band behind hits ‘La Grange’, ‘Gimme All Your Lovin’’, ‘Sharp Dressed Man’ and ‘Legs’ have lined up four solo shows across the country where they will be joined by blues heavyweights George Thorogood and the Destroyers.
Not only have ZZ Top revealed their own tour dates, but the bearded rockers are also topping the bill of the Red Hot Summer Tour Series 2. The original Red Hot Summer Tour 2025 takes place over the summer and features an all-Ausie lineup of ICEHOUSE, Noiseworks, Wolfmother, Eskimo Joe, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Bachelor Girl.
This second edition is headlined by ZZ Top and George Thorogood and the Destroyers alongside local talent The Living End, Baby Animals, Rose Tattoo and Dallas Frasca.
Both The Elevation Tour and Red Hot Summer Tour Series 2 take place in April and May next year, beginning with festival dates at Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday, April 26 and at Mornington Racecourse on Sunday, April 27. ZZ Top and George Thorogood and the Destroyers then play headline gigs at Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Tuesday, April 29 and Perth’s Langley Park on Thursday, May 1.
The Red Hot Summer Tour Series 2 then continues at Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday, May 03 and Wollongong’s Stuart Park on Sunday, May 04, before another headline gig at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Wednesday, May 7. This is followed by the final dates of the tour on Bribie Island at Sandstonre Point Hotel on Saturday, May 10 and Sydney’s ICC Sydney Theatre on Tuesday, May 13.
There are several pre-sale options available to fans. Those with a Mastercard have access to an early bird pre-sale that runs from 11:30am on Wednesday, December 4 until 11:30am local time on Friday, December 6. Find out all the details here.
This is followed by the Live Nation pre-sale that runs from 11:30am on Friday, December 6 until 11:30am on Monday, December 9 and the ticket agent pre-sale that runs from 12:30am on Firday, December 3 until 11:30am on Monday, December 9.

ZZ Top’s Australian tour will be their first since the death of original bassist Dusty Hill in 2021. The band now comprises of the remaining two OG members Billy Gibbons (vocals, guitar) and Frank Beard (drums), who are now joined by Elwood Francis (bass).
Fans can expect to hear all the hits alongside a few deep cuts and surprise choices when ZZ Top tours across the country in 2025.
