Kickstart the summer this December with Adelaide’s newest live music festival, Our Sound. Presented by Groove Events, this one-day, double-stage spectacular is a celebration of Australia’s thriving drum and bass scene.

Held at Bonython Park/Tulya Wardli on Saturday, December 7, Our Sound is headlined by Perth’s legendary Pendulum (DJ El Hornet) performing an exclusive DJ set alongside emerging DJ and producer Luude, who broke out in 2021 with his top ten charting remix of Men At Work’s ‘Down Under’.

A monster lineup of local South Aussie drum and bass DJs and producers will also be showcasing their talents on the day, including Voe, Patch and The Collective.

Despite the live music scene struggling and festivals toppling like dominos, Groove Events Director, Daniel Michael, is confident Our Sound will be a success and fill a niche in SA’s eroding festival scene.

“Drum and bass fans, myself included have remained loyal, enthused and willing to support the music in the state, it’s a true testament to fans of the genre,” Michael says.

“We were blown away by how enthusiastic and how in love with the vibe people were when we hosted Pendulum at Gluttony in March. We wanted to create something even bigger by securing Luude on the lineup and adding a second stage.

“I think it’s important, especially at the moment, to provide an authentic experience. Everyone behind this event is excited to welcome ‘El Hornet’ to the stage, alongside a bunch of our favourite up-and-coming and experienced Adelaide DJs. Our Sound is a tribute to drum and bass, it is our culture, our music, our vibe and our sound.”

Both Pendulum and Luude have a huge following in Adelaide as evidenced by their sold out shows from earlier this year. Pendulum packed out two nights at Gluttony’s open-air venue ‘The Fantail’ while tickets for Luude’s April show at Hindley Street Music Hall with Chase & Status sold out in several hours, demonstrating the passion Adelaidans have for drum and bass.

Our Sound takes place on Saturday, December 7 at Bonython Park/Tulya Wardli. Sign up for pre-sale tickets here.
