STUMPS REVEAL 2024 AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES
The dynamic Sydney trio are touring in support of the sophomore album, Arcadia.
Aussie indie rockers STUMPS are hitting the road this April in support of their sophomore album, Arcadia. The genre-bending Sydney act takes inspiration from a wide array of sounds, with their music blurring the boundaries of indie, dance, pop and rock. Presented in collaboration with Select Music, Base Level One and Cooking Vinyl Australia, the tour will see the trio play five dates across the country.
The tour begins in Adelaide at the Crown & Anchor on Friday 5 April before the band head to Melbourne where they play Northcote Social Club on Saturday 6 April. Then it’s on to Brisbane at The Brightside on Saturday 13 April and the Factory Theatre in Sydney on Saturday 20 April, with the final show at Mojo’s in Fremantle on Friday 26 April.
STUMPS will be bringing The Tullamarines with them on tour, who might be familiar to readers. The Adelaide quartet produces Aussie indie tunes that will get you moving and grooving and are sure to help bring a lively crowd to the STUMPS gig at the Crown & Anchor.
The release of Arcadia, which draws comparisons to the best work of Bloc Party, Gang Of Youths and Talking Heads, follows on from STUMPS’ powerful debut album All Our Friends. Released in December 2020, the album was critically well-received, with UK music bible NME describing the record as “A riotous pastiche of classic indie disco sounds that throws back to sticky club dance-floors and late-night singalongs.”
Having built a loyal fanbase since forming in 2017, STUMPS has performed at festivals such as Lost Paradise and NYE On The Hill while also supporting high-profile Aussie acts including the likes of Ball Park Music, The Temper Trap and Tyne-James Organ. This tour with The Tullamarines is sure to be another landmark moment in STUMPS’ burgeoning career.
Tickets for their Adelaide show at Crown & Anchor are on sale now via Live Nation.
