Emerging rockers Surf Trash have announced a seven-date Australian tour taking place this November. Along with performing intimate shows in some top-notch venues, the likely lads are also playing at two festivals: Rolling Sets and NYE on the Hill.

The surf punk quartet are hitting the road in support of their forthcoming debut album, The Only Place I Know, which arrives this Friday, September 13. You can pre-save the 12-track album here or pre-order the vinyl here.

Taking to social media to reveal the tour, Surf Trash had this to say: “Buzzing to take our debut album around the country this November! Early bird tickets are on sale now for a cheaper price, jump on it & we’ll see you soon.”

Kicking things off in Darwin at the Darwin Railway Club on Saturday, November 2, Surf Trash then take their jangly guitar rock sound to Mary’s Underground in Sydney on Saturday, November 9, Howler in Melbourne on Saturday, November 16 and Solbar in Maroochydore on Friday, November 22. Then it’s off to the Valley Loft in Brisbane on Saturday, November 23, Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide on Friday, November 29 and Indian Ocean Hotel in Perth on Saturday, November 30.

Once the club shows are done and dusted, Surf Rock are locked in to play Rolling Sets on the Central Coast on Saturday, December 7 and NYE on the Hill in South Gippsland on Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1 2025.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via Surf Trash’s website.

Hailing from Lake Macquarie, the now Newcastle-based Surf Trash have been rocking out since 2018 when they formed as teenagers. Comprising Andrew Scott (lead vocals/drums) Lachlan Jackson (guitar) Patrick Russell (guitar) and Nick Scott (bass), Surf Trash are one of the country’s quiet achievers, having recently completed their second tour of the States. Pretty good for a band with no official manager or record label.

The Only Place I Know has been a labour of love for the quartet. Co-produced by Jack Nigro (The Terrys, Pacific Avenue, Rum Jungle), the album is “filled with hooks, melodies, huge guitar solos and singalong choruses.” It features 12 tracks including the previously released singles ‘Tappin Into Magic’, ‘Healin the Feelin’, ‘Hello Again’ and ‘Seek the Silence’.

Those keen on pre-ordering the vinyl should get in quick with the first 200 copies pressed in an exclusive blue white and marble colour vinyl that comes with a poster, individually numbered obi strip and an essay from The Note’s own Tyler Jenke on why Surf Trash are one of Australia’s great emerging acts.

Catch Surf Trash at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, November 29. Tickets are on sale now via Moshtix. Pre-save The Only Place I Know here or pre-order the vinyl here.
