UK INDIE ROCKERS THE REYTONS ANNOUNCE 2024 AUSTRALIAN TOUR
The indie quartet will play five dates across the country this September and October.

The Reytons have announced their return to Australia with a hilarious video spoofing the country’s favourite soap ‘Neighbours’. In the short 40-second promo video you can watch below, each of the band members is introduced while a woman sings a song that’s very similar-sounding to the theme tune of ‘Neighbours’, replacing the word ‘Neighbours’ with ‘The Reytons’. Throughout the clip, the band is shown playing frisbee, cooking a shrimp on the barbie and messing about as the dates for their five-date tour flash across the screen. This type of humour is what fans of the band have come to expect from The Reytons, who combine cheeky laughs with upbeat indie UK rock. The tour kicks off in Perth at Amplifier on Sunday 29 September before hitting Lions Art Factory in Adelaide (Tuesday 1 October), The Triffid in Brisbane (Thursday 3 October), Metro Theatre in Sydney (Friday 4 October) and finishing up at Croxton Bandroom in Melbourne, Saturday 5 October. Aussie audiences appear to love the UK indie juggernauts, with The Reytons returning less than a year after last touring Down Under in 2023. Since then the band has played sold-out shows throughout the UK and also released a new album, this year’s ‘Ballads Of A Bystander’. The band’s third album, ‘Ballads Of A Bystander’ recently topped the UK Record Store Chart and is just shy of 3 million total streams on Spotify.The album has spawned four singles, ‘Let Me Breathe’, ‘Market Street’, ‘Listen’ and ‘Nineteen Crimes’, and received generally positive reviews. To help promote the album, The Reytons announced a two-date homecoming gig in July of this year at their hometown venue of Clifton Park in Rotherham. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 people and will be the biggest outdoor event in the city in over 50 years according to Stereoboard. While they won’t be playing venues that large in Australia, tickets for The Reytons are sure to sell out quick smart like their previous 2023 tour.
