Ahead of the release of his new album CHROMAKOPIA, which drops on Monday (October 28), Tyler, The Creator has announced a massive world tour that includes a run of Australian dates

The alt-rapper has lined up shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, with Adelaide once again missing out. Although not hugely surprising considering the amount of big-name hip hop artists who skip the City of Churches, it’s still disappointing, especially considering Tyler is performing in Perth (no disrespect to our Perth peeps).

Nonetheless, those keen on catching the former Odd Future member will have to travel interstate, with Tyler kicking off his Australian jaunt with two shows at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23. The ‘Earfquake’ rapper then makes his way to Sydney for another two concerts at Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27. The final leg of the tour includes shows at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Saturday, August 30 and Perth’s RAC on Thursday, September 4.

Coming along for the ride with Tyler, The Creator are special guests Lil Yachty and Paris, Texas, both big stars in their own right.

General on-sale begins on Friday, November 1 at 9:30am local time, but for those determined to score tickets, Frontier Touring will be running a members pre-sale for 24 hours starting at 9:30am local time on Wednesday, October 30. For full tour details visit the Frontier Touring website.

Along with the surprise announcement of his new album CHROMAKOPIA and world tour dates, Tyler, The Creator has shared the music video for the record’s first single, ‘NOID’. The track is steeped in paranoia and details his fractious relationship with celebrity. Soundwise it harks back to Tyler’s gritty earlier work.

CHROMAKOPIA arrives three years after the release of Tyler, The Creator’s #1 Billboard 100 Album, Call Me If You Get Lost. The concept album plays like a mixtape and was critically praised by critics, scoring perfect reviews from The Guardian and The Independent.
