Teenage dirtbags Wheatus return in 2025 with the Dirtbags Across Australia acoustic tour. Frontman Brendan B. Brown and fellow Wheatus member Gabrielle Sterbenz have planned 14 dates across the country next January and February.

The tour marks Brown’s third visit to Australia in a year, with the charming vocalist having supported Everclear’s Art Alexais in February before heading back for the inaugural Pandemonium Rocks Festival in April.

Wheatus’ epic acoustic tour begins in Adelaide at The Gov on Wednesday, January 15 before stopping at Clancy’s Fish Pub in Fremantle (Friday, January 17), Indian Ocean Hotel in Scarborough (Saturday, January 18), The River in Margaret River (Sunday, January 19), Vinnie’s Dive Bar on the Gold Coast (Wednesday, January 22) and The Back Room in Brisbane (Thursday, January 23).

Brown and Sterbenz then perform at Coffs Hotel in Coffs Harbour (Friday, January 24), The Bellevue Hotel in Forster/Tuncurry (Saturday, January 25), Hamilton Station Hotel in Newcastle (Sunday, January 26), Shark Bar in Manly (Wednesday, January 29) and Underground in Sydney (Thursday, January 30).

The tour wraps up with gigs at The Baso in Canberra (Friday, January 31), Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne (Saturday, February 1) and the Torquay Hotel in Torquay on Sunday, February 2.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Monday, October 14 at 8:30am local time via Big Tix, Moshtix, and Oztix.

Unlike many one-hit wonders, Wheatus have embraced their place in music history, with 2000’s ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ still as big as it was when it first dropped 24 years ago.

Featured in the Jason Biggs flick Loser, ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ topped the charts in multiple countries, including Australia. It’s gone on to feature in a viral TikTok challenge along with appearing in Netflix’s Big Mouth and Disney’s Cruel Summer.

Although Brown is the only original member of the band still standing, Wheatus continues to sell out shows across the globe. The group’s most recent album Wheatus 2000, is an expanded edition of their debut containing 20 tracks, including ten previously “lost'“ tracks.

Make sure you get two tickets to Iron Ma…, we mean Wheatus, when they go on sale next week.

Catch Wheatus at The Gov on Wednesday, January 15. For full ticketing information visit wheatus.com.
