BUSSEYS – ‘DRAWN BACK’
SINGLE
Independent
Busseys never miss, and the three-piece’s latest single is no exception. A tightly coiled anthem for balmy nights, ‘Drawn Back’ is the house party banger of (what’s left of) the summer.
Driven by an infectiously groovy bassline, the verses feel bright, synthy and laid-back – perfect nuggets of sunny, Australian indie rock. The track veers into an urgent chorus that bounces back and forth between Dan Holland and Stella Franklin’s crystal-clear vocals, capturing the push and pull of love, relationships and growing up.
But where ‘Drawn Back’ absolutely glows is the moment it disintegrates after the second chorus, before steadily building into a deliciously pop-punky bridge that rounds the song out like a shaken up bottle of Fanta: sweet, full of energy and ready to burst.
Sounds like: A teen movie pool party scene.

Sounds like: ‘Hit The Lights’ cooler younger brother who drinks Pirate Life and not Prosecco.
Sounds like: Chevelle collaborating with Phil Campbell after a beer and BBQ session.
