Ash Grunwald Adds Adelaide Show To Massive AUstralian Tour
The Melbourne blues musician is playing The Gov in October.
Ash Grunwald has been announcing tour dates left, right and centre this year, with the blues muso finally returning to Adelaide later this year.
Grunwald has booked a show at The Gov this October where he will entertain fans with songs from his entire back catalogue, along with tracks from his most recent releases.
The tour comes in support of the Melbourne musician’s latest single, the soulful blues number ‘Life Without You’.
Tickets for Grunwald’s Adelaide show go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, May 30 at 9:00am local time via Oztix.
Grunwald has been at the forefront of Australia’s blues explosion over the past two decades. Part troubadour, part storyteller, the APRA Award-winning artist has released 12 studio albums, six of which have made the ARIA Chart top 50, and toured regularly both locally and internationally, having appeared at Bluesfest an astonishing ten times.
His most recent releases were the 2022 studio album Shout Into the Noise and last year’s Bluesfest Studio Sessions, a recreation of his Bluesfest set from 2023 alongside musicians Ian Peres (Wolfmother, The Whitlams, Bernhard Fanning), Bobby Alu (Xavier Rudd) and producer Nick DiDia (Springsteen, Powderfinger, Rage Against The Machine).
Along with his stacked catalogue of solo tunes, Grunwald is known for collaborating with an array of talent, including Kasey Chambers, Scott & Andy from The Living End, Vika & Linda Bull, Joe Bonamassa and more. His Push the Blues album with The Teskey Brothers Josh Teskey even made it to #8 on the ARIA Charts, Grunwald’s highest-ever charting album.
Away from music, Grunwald has been involved in several other projects. In 2019 he released his first book, Surf By Day, Jam By Night, featuring interviews with friends Kelly Slater, Pete Murray, Stephanie Gilmore and more about their journeys.
To coincide with the book, Grunwald also started the Soulful Conversations podcast, expanding on his book by chatting with some of his musical peers, including John Butler, Missy Higgins, Ziggy Alberts and Josh Teskey.
Grunwald’s one and only Adelaide show is a must for anyone who loves the blues.
