Balance and Composure Plot 2025 Australian Tour
The American post-grunge ragers are appearing at New Bloom Fest along with performing several headline shows.

Recently announced as part of the awesome lineup of this year’s New Bloom Fest, American post-punkers Balance and Composure have also revealed several headline concerts across the country.
Along with performing at this year’s New Bloom Fest in Brisbane (Saturday, March 8), Sydney (Sunday, March 9) and Melbourne (Monday, March 10) alongside the likes of Basement, Sweet Pill, Brain and One Step Closer, the five-piece have locked in gigs at Perth’s Amplifier Bar (Wednesday, March 12), Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory (Friday, March 14) and Melbourne’s Stay Gold (Saturday, March 15)
The band won’t be going it alone, bringing along grungy post-punk quartet Glitterer, whose third album, Rationale, dropped last year.

Described as a “Venn diagram between the sprawling rawness of Citizen, the urgency of Senses Fail, and the grittiness of Fiddlehead,” Balance and Composure first came into the world in 2017. They gained a cult following and went on to release three albums, Separation (2011), The Things We Think We’re Missing (2013) and Light We Made (2016), before calling it quits in 2019.
Four years later, Balance and Composure surprised fans with the release of the 7-inch single ‘Too Quick to Forgive’. Confirming they had reunited, the quintet spent much of 2023 touring the States before releasing their fourth studio album, With You in Spirit (2024).
The collective of Jon Simmons (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Andy Slaymaker (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), Matt Warner (bass), Erik Petersen (lead guitar) and Dennis Wilson (drums) are pumped to be heading our way and ready to unleash their visceral live show on fans.
