The AFL is excited to announce Birds of Tokyo will perform at Norwood Food and Wine Festival as part of this year’s Gather Round festivities.

The event, which attracts tens of thousands of punters each year, is a showcase of SA’s best producers, with food and beverage stalls lining the Parade, culinary exhibitions and dedicated watch zones for footy fans to enjoy all the action of Gather Round while sampling a smorgasbord of food and drink offerings.
“We are super excited to be heading back to Adelaide for a festival of footy celebrating South Australia’s amazing food, wine, beer and spirits,” Birds of Tokyo frontman Ian Kenny said in a statement.

AFL CEO Andrew Dillon believes this year’s Gather Round could be the best yet, with all games set to sell out after a limited number of extra tickets were released yesterday (April 1).
“The demand this year has been bigger than ever, so I am really pleased to be able to offer these last few tickets to fans to access one of the best weeks in football,” Dillon said.
“More than 100,000 tickets were sold in the first four hours when tickets went on sale. With a host of blockbuster matches, entertainment offerings and amazing South Australian hospitality on offer, it continues to be one of the hottest tickets in town.
“We’re delighted to have Birds of Tokyo join us for the festivities, with the Norwood Food & Wine Festival, set to be one of the many highlights of the week, in what will be another amazing year of AFL Gather Round.”
Premier of South Australia Peter Malinauskas echoed Dillon’s sentiments.
“We know how much fans love the AFL Gather Round atmosphere, plus the chance to explore Adelaide and beyond.
“More than 70,000 people enjoyed the Norwood Food & Wine Festival last year – discovering the best of our state and its capacity to host major events in style. This is an enormous opportunity for our state to showcase our sensational produce to an audience around the country.
