MAGIC MOUNTAIN (1996–2022) is a double album engineered and mixed by Joel Taylor with help from Tom Bromley of Los Campesinos! fame. It’s a deeply personal record diving deep into the journey frontman Lanyon has undertaken that involves “rediscovery, nostalgia, patience, heartache and joy.”

The 25 tracks detail Lanyon’s move back to Melbourne’s Mt. Dandenong, the four-year struggle to conceive a child, the pain and heartache of suffering a miscarriage before the sheer joy of pregnancy and becoming a parent.

Although it only dropped last Friday (October 4), Magic Moutain (1996–2022) is receiving fantastic reviews, with The AU Review awarding it five out of five stars and calling the album “a work of art.”

Catch Ceres at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, February 28. For full ticketing information visit Handsome Tours.
