Chase Atlantic Share New Album ‘LOST IN HEAVEN’ Ahead of Australian Tour
The R&B electro pop trio are also returning to Australia for a run of five shows this December.
LA-based Aussie trio Chase Atlantic are dominating the charts with new album, LOST IN HEAVEN.
Debuting at #4 on Spotify’s USA Top Albums, #7 on Spotify’s Global Top Albums and #5 on Apple Music’s Top Pre-Added Albums, LOST IN HEAVEN is a genre-bending odyssey that’s hard to pin down. Merging elements of hip hop, electronica, R&B and pop across 13 energised tracks, LOST IN HEAVEN is arguably the Aussie group’s best effort yet. But it’s been a long road to get here.
Chase Atlantic has admitted that LOST IN HEAVEN has been their most difficult album to record. First, a writing trip took a turn for the worse due to a massive blizzard, and then lead vocalist and programmer Mitchel Cave’s laptop crashed, wiping out most of the instrumental tracks Chase Atlantic had recorded.
“We basically had to make a fifth album, because we lost so much of what we were gonna do,” Cave recalls. “I still don’t keep any backups. I guess I like playing with fire. Or maybe I like the challenges, because none of our albums have been a piece of cake.”
Despite everything Chase Atlantic has been through, they delivered an album that’s been lapped up by fans and praised by critics. Spawning the singles ‘DIE FOR ME’, ‘DOUBT IT’ and ‘RICOCHET’, the album is a genre-blurring sonic delight and one of the best releases of 2024.
