After the release of their highly acclaimed 2024 EP, Heaven Let Them Die, Canadian hardcore ragers Counterparts are heading Down Under this June to perform tracks from the release.

Counterparts will be supported by upcoming metalcore act Dying Wish, whose From Nothing EP received rave reviews.

Arriving in the country in June, Counterparts begin their four-date tour with a gig at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Wednesday, June 11. The quartet follow this with shows at The Gov in Adelaide on Thursday, June 12, Liberty Hall in Sydney on Friday, June 13 and The Triffid in Brisbane on Sunday, June 15.

Live Nation pre-sale kicks off this Thursday, January 30, at 11:30am local time. General on-sale commences Friday, January 31, at 12:30pm. For full ticketing details visit livenaiton.com.au.

Formed in 2007, Counterparts have risen from underground act to global superstars with seven studio albums to their name, including their most recent, 2022’s A Eulogy for Those Still Here.

Comprising vocalist Brendan Murphy, lead guitarist Jesse Doreen, bassist and rhythm guitarist Tyler Williams and drummer Kyle Brownlee, Counterparts have also released a live album and four EPs, including last year’s surprise extended play, Heaven Will Let Them Die.

Heaven Let Them Die represents Counterparts at our most intense — musically, lyrically, and visually,” shares frontman Brendan Murphy. “The EP builds on where A Eulogy for Those Still Here left off, capturing how I’ve come to terms with everything foreshadowed in the last release and how it has shaped where I stand today. It’s our most genuine work to date — raw, uncompromising, and unfiltered.”

Catch Counterparts at The Gov on Thursday, June 12. For full ticketing information visit livenation.com.au.
