Damien Rice Announces 2025 Australian Tour
The Irish singer-songwriter kicks off his tour in Adelaide with a performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice returns to Australian shores for a run of theatre shows in 2025.
The talented troubadour behind hits ‘Cannonball’, ‘Lonely Soldier’ and ‘9 Crimes’ is performing eight shows across the country throughout January and February.
Starting his tour in Adelaide at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Wednesday, January 22, Rice then has shows lined up at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Saturday, January 25, Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre on Tuesday, January 28 and Canberra’s Canberra Theatre on Thursday, January 30.
The tour then heads to Thirroul’s Anita’s Theatre on Saturday, February 1 followed by performances in Sydney at the State Theatre on Monday, February 3 and at Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Tuesday, February 4. The final leg of the tour takes place at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Thursday, February 6.
Frontier Members have first access to tickets, with the Frontier Members pre-sale kicking off this Thursday, October 3 at 11:30am local time and running for 24 hours or until pre-sale allocation is exhausted. General on-sale begins at 1:30am local time on Friday, October 4 via Frontier Touring.
Damien Rice rose to fame in 2002 with the release of his critically acclaimed debut album, 0. The album peaked at #2 on the Irish Albums Chart and spawned fan favourites ‘The Blower’s Daughter’, ‘Cannonball’ and ‘Volcano’.
He followed up in 2006 with 9, featuring the hit tune ‘9 Crimes’, before finally returning in 2014 with My Favourite Faded Fantasy. Since then Rice has released several singles but has yet to drop a new studio album.
Despite the lack of new music, Rice continues to tour, having spent the past 12 months performing intimate shows in Japan, Italy and Spain. Once he’s finished in Australia, Rice heads to New Zealand for several gigs before heading back to his homeland.
