Bursting onto the UK hip hop scene like Micah Richards did for Manchester City, Dizzee Rascal has been at the forefront of British grime and garage for close to 25 years.

Getting his start as a DJ at 14, Rascal took to MCing like a duck to water, working with fellow grime legend Wiley during his early years. Rascal dropped his hyped debut album Boy in da Corner in 2003, with the record going on to win the coveted Mercury Prize, firmly cementing Rascal as one to watch.

Throughout his nearly 25-year career, Rascal has released eight albums, with his 2009 record Tongue n’ Cheek peaking at #3 on the UK Album Charts. Rascal has also scored four #1 UK Singles – ‘Dance Wiv Me’, ‘Bonkers’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Dirtee Disco’ – collaborated with a long list of hip hop stars and toured the world consistently.

A frequent visitor to our shores over the years, Rascal’s We Want Bass tour is a fantastic way to kick off the New Year.
