FLIGHT FACILITIES HEADLINING LIV GOLF ADELAIDE 2024

The Sydney electronic duo has also released new single ‘Trouble’.

After the roaring success of LIV Golf Adelaide last year, the tournament returns to the Grange Golf Club this April for another blockbuster event. In news that's sure to please music-loving golf fans, electronic superstars Flight Facilities have been announced as the headline act, closing out the final day of frivolities on Sunday, April 28. This news coincides with a limited release of additional tickets up for grabs for the previously sold-out event.
“We’re very grateful to LIV Golf for giving us the opportunity to tell our parents what they’ve always wanted to hear – I’m playing in a professional golf tournament!” Flight Facilities Hugo Gruzman and James Lyell joked in a statement.
One of Australia’s favourite music duos, Flight Facilities first found fame in 2008 with the release of hit single 'Crave You'. Subsequent albums Down To Earth and Forever quickly saw Flight Facilities gain international exposure, with the act also playing this year’s Coachella Festival before hopping on a plane and heading to Adelaide for their LIV Golf performance.
Along with the LIV Golf announcement, Flight Facilities has dropped their first new tune since 2022 - the dance floor groover 'Trouble’. The song marks another collaboration with Owl Eyes, who featured on Flight Facilities’ massive 2015 hit ‘Heart Attack’.
"'Trouble', in many ways, is a return to our origins in taste, influence and collaboration", Flight Facilities said in a presser. "Working with Owl Eyes and Bag Raiders’ Jack Glass, to reference some turn-of-the-century dance-pop was such a natural fit. We’ve always had a special nostalgia for the 2000s, so any excuse to inject its sound into today is one we’ll take".
The release of additional grounds passes and a limited number of hospitality tickets comes after an overwhelming response from golf fans across the globe. While the event was originally sold out, LIV Golf has managed to find extra tickets to quell the demand from punters.
LIV Golf SVP of Ticketing and Hospitality Troy Tutt said: “We are thrilled to welcome Flight Facilities to the roster of Australian music acts who will bring the energy from the course into the night as we send LIV Golf Adelaide out with a bang. The response from fans across the globe, and within Australia, has been electric and we're elated to meet the demand of sports fans looking to experience LIV Golf by releasing a limited number of hospitality tickets along with a second allocation of grounds passes”.
"The excitement is already building for what will be an action-packed week, and we look forward to welcoming fantastic crowds from over 20 different countries, who will undoubtedly soak in the beauty of South Australia and the excitement of LIV Golf”, Tutt continued. "LIV Golf Adelaide 2024 promises to be even more exciting than last year, as more of the on and off course line-up is revealed”.
Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison is also pumped about LIV Golf returning to South Australia: “Thanks to an incredible response from fans, we’re seeing additional grounds passes and hospitality tickets released – so I’d encourage anyone still looking to attend this world-class event to get in quick. I look forward to South Australia once again being on show to the world as we host this action-packed golfing tournament, which drives tens of thousands of visitors to our state and delivered an estimated $64.9 million to our state’s economy in its inaugural year.”
Fans lucky enough to snare a Saturday or 3-day pass will also get the opportunity to witness Australian DJ sensation FISHER who will make his highly anticipated return to LIV Golf Adelaide’s main stage at the end of play on Saturday, April 27. Additional live music will take place throughout the tournament, with details to be announced in the near future.
LIV Golf Adelaide runs from April 26 – 28 at The Grange Golf Club. Tickets are available via LIV Golf
