An electro-pop banger.
Keli Holiday (aka Adam Hyde), one-half of the electronic duo Peking Duk, is back with another new tune, ‘Online Jesus’.
A collaboration with fellow Aussie singer-songwriter Alex Cameron, the song explores modern dating trends and the way people often create different personalities when using dating apps.
‘Online Jesus’ has a distinct 80s electro-pop vibe with a singalong chorus. The addition of Cameron’s dulcet tones gives the track an edge over similar electronic fair.
“This track was one of the first ideas Alex and I worked on together,” Holiday says of ‘Online Jesus’. “We laid in a scratch melody on the bassline and the guitar lead, then came back the next day and we were speaking about the state of modern love and dating apps. The online Jesuses who believe they are god’s gift to women sent from the internet to be the rapture and saviour for those women longing for a partner… A far cry from the truth.”
The release of ‘Online Jesus’ comes off the back of Holiday’s recently released JESTERMAN EP.
