UK DnB Legend Roni Size Headlines Open Air Laneway Party
The ‘Brown Paper Bag’ dynamo will be joined by French collective VISAGES and a host of local DJs.
UK DJ and producer Roni Size returns to Adelaide in January as the headliner for AIRdnb and Redline Dubstars’ Open Air Laneway Party.
Held at Lion Arts Factory on Saturday, January 4, expect a night of fierce drum and bass, dubstep and bass music with headline sets from the icon Roni Size and French collective VISAGES, who are signed to Alix Perez’s label 1985 Music.
Along with the main indoor stage at Lion Arts Factory, Adelaide dubstep heroes Redline Dubstars are curating a selection of breakbeat and bass music on a second stage, which includes an old school vinyl DnB set from the one and only Noddy, as well as former Australian DMC Champ OSYRIS, putting on a must-see turntablism display.
The night will also feature sets from some of the country’s best DJs such as Patch, Tinkerb91, Syntax and Fiction alongside MCs Pab, G-Swift, Pase and Ess Bee. You can check out the full lineup of performers below.
Tickets for AIRdnb and Redline Dubstars’ Open Air Laneway Party are on sale now via Moshtix.

Roni Size is a pioneer of the UK DnB scene who emerged as a DJ in the late 80s. Plugging away performing at clubs across the UK and Europe, Size hit the big time in 1997 when he formed the DnB collective Roni Size & Reprazent and dropped the spellbinding New Forms.
The album revolutionised DnB music and brought it to the masses. New Forms went five times platinum and won the prestigious Mercury Prize. It was off to races after that, with Size becoming an in-demand DJ performing iconic sets across the globe. He’s released several more collaborative albums as well as three solo releases and a stack of singles and EPs.
Consisting of Valentin, Etienne, Tom and Kévin, VISAGES are a Toulouse-based collective that formed in 2017. Influenced by everything from hip hop and reggae to rock and electro, they craft mesmerising drum and bass arrangements that get the blood pumping.
Although they only have one album to their name, 2022s From Lead To Gold, VISAGES have been on one this year, dropping a slew of EPs and singles, including their most recent banger, ‘Meleth’.
Catch Roni Size & VISAGES at AIRdnb and Redline Dubstars’ Open Air Laneway Party at Lion Arts Centre on Saturday, January 4. Tickets on sale now via moshtix.com.
