Portland-based indie rockers STRFKR are finally making their way to Australia next year for their very first tour of the country.

The experimental quartet has been out there getting it done for close to two decades, with the band’s 2025 Australian jaunt coming in support of their most recent album, this year’s Parallel Realms.

Presented by Penny Drop and Frontier Touring, STRFKR’s Australian tour kicks off in Perth at Freo. Social on Tuesday, February 18. Then it’s on to Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Thursday, February 20, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday, February 22 and Brisbane’s The Princess Theatre on Sunday, February 23. The final leg of the tour takes place on Tuesday, February 25 at Lion Arts Factory in Adelaide.

Penny Drop pre-sale begins at 11:30am local time on Monday, September 30. General sale commences at 1:30am on Tuesday, October 1 via Frontier Touring.

STRFKR began life as the solo project of Sexton Blake’s Joshua Hodges in 2007. After releasing their first three albums – Starfucker (2008), Jupiter (2009) and Reptilians (2009) – STRFKR broke through in 2013 with their fourth LP, Miracle Mile. The album received relatively positive reviews and is the band’s only release to make a dent on the US Billboard 200.

The four-piece has continued to release music at a consistent rate over their journey, with this year’s Parallel Realms STRFKR’s seventh record.

The current lineup of Hodges (vocals, keyboards, guitar, drums), Shawn Glassford (bass, keyboards, drums), Keil Corcoran (drums, keyboards, vocals) and Arian Jalali (guitar, keyboards) can’t wait to tour Australia next February, with tickets for all shows expected to sell fast.

Catch STRFKR at Lion Arts Factory on Tuesday, February 25. For full ticketing information visit the Frontier Touring website.
