UK Indie Veterans Hard-Fi Announce New EP, Share Single ‘Always and Forever’
Hard-Fi proves indie music never truly dies with the release of their second single for 2024.
UK indie act Hard-Fi are preparing the release of their first-ever EP, Don’t Go Making Plans.
Arriving November 15 via Ignition Records (pre-save/pre-order here), the EP is the quartet’s first project since 2011’s Killer Sounds album and comes after the band reunited in 2022, eight years after going on an extended hiatus.
Along with their new EP, Hard-Fi shared another single from the project, ‘Always and Forever’. The tasty tune features the band’s signature sound and is sure to conjure feelings of nostalgia for longtime fans.
Speaking about the track, singer Richard Archer says, “‘Always and Forever’ is a rose tinted remembering of youth and possibilities, a fantasy of a Hollywood love story in small town Britain and a wistful shout out to doomed romances everywhere.”

Comprising vocalist and guitarist Richard Archer, guitarist Ross Phillips, bassist Kai Stephens and drummer Steve Kemp, Hard-Fi formed in 2003 and quickly found success with their 2005 debut album, Stars of CCTV.
Hard-Fi was part of the early 00s UK indie scene that dominated music across the globe, with Stars of CCTV nominated for the 2005 Mercury Music Prize.
The band released two more albums, Once Upon a Time in the West (2007) and Killer Sounds (2011), before going on hiatus for eight years in 2014.
Their surprise return in 2022 was well-received by fans, with the band selling out reunion shows across the UK.

The metalcore act will be supported by Silent Planet and Resolve.

Next year’s event is held at Frome Park/Nellie Raminyemmerin Park and features London DJ Ben UFO, Melbourne’s Pretty Girl (performing a DJ set), passionate DJ and producer DAWS.
The UK rockers will be joined on tour by American pop punk act State Champs.
