Phoebe Bridges Dominates the Grammys

The Grammys has come under fire in recent years but the 2024 edition of the award show was well received by most, with viewership up 34% from last year, averaging 16.9 million viewers. It was a night where women dominated, with Phoebe Bridges taking home four awards, Taylor Swift winning Album of the Year for Midnight, Miley Cyrus getting her flowers and R&B starlet Victoria Monét becoming the first female R&B star to win Best New Artist since Alicia Keys in 2002.
Other notable winners included SZA winning Best Progressive R&B Album for SOS, Jack Antonoff winning his third Grammy for Producer of the Year, Killer Mike claiming three gongs and our very own Kylie Minogue winning the inaugural Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording.
This year’s award show also saw Tracy Chapman duet with Luke Combs on ‘Fast Cars’, Jay-Z take shots at the Academy for disrespecting Beyoncé when it comes to the album of the year, Killer Mike arrested for allegedly assaulting a security guard, a surprise appearance from Celine Dion and Joni Mitchell receiving a well-deserved standing ovation.

FISHER Takes on Gotye's ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’

Larrikin Gold Coast DJ FISHER has joined forces with British DJ and producer Chris Lake for an upbeat re-working of Sante Sansone’s remix of Goyte’s huge hit ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’.
The duo’s take on the track is very similar to Sansone’s remix, with the song still featuring Goyte and Kimbra’s vocals along with the original melody, but with added bass and the obligatory drop to hype the crowd.
The release comes off the back of FISHER revealing his very own music festival Out 2 Lunch, taking place at Coolangatta Beach on Saturday, May 4. FISHER will be behind the deck playing all your favourite electronic tunes alongside Brazilian-based DJs Vintage Culture, Flight Facilities, Little Fritter and Shimmy.
