After being announced as part of the fourth Bluesfest lineup, TOTO and Christopher Cross have revealed they are performing two sideshows while in the country.

Sadly for SA music lovers, the two legendary artists are only performing in Melbourne and Sydney as part of their Dogz of Oz World Tour.

The members of TOTO have been solid friends with Christopher Cross for many years, with both acts excited to perform for Aussie audiences.

TOTO’s Steve Lukather says, “It’s been seven years and we’ve really been trying hard to get back to Australia. We can’t wait to see you all this April,” says TOTO’s Steve Lukather.

Cross adds, “I am very excited to be coming back Down Under to perform for my fans and to share the stage with my friends TOTO.”

TOTO and Christopher Cross perform at John Cain Arena in Melbourne on Wednesday, April 16 and ICC Sydney Theatre in Sydney on Saturday, April 19.

General admission tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 4 at 8:30am local time via Ticketek.

TOTO might be best known for the classic soft rock hit, ‘Africa’, but there’s much more to this LA rock act. TOTO’s album sales have exceeded 50 million, while the band’s songs are played more than 3 million times a day on Spotify.

Across their nearly 50 year career, TOTO have released 14 albums, including the ARIA Album Chart topping TOTO IV, won six Grammy Awards and toured the globe regularly. The current lineup of Steve Lukather (guitar/vocals), Joseph Williams (vocals), Greg Phillinganes (keyboards/vocals), Shannon Forrest (drums), John Pierce (bass), Warren Ham (horns/percussion/vocals) and Dennis Atlas (keyboards/vocals) will perform all the band’s hits when they touch down in Australia this April, including ‘Africa’, ‘Hold the Line’ and ‘Rosanna’.

No matter what he achieves in life, Christopher Cross will always be known as the first artist to win the ‘Big Four’ Grammy Awards in the same year for his chart-topping self-titled album. Cross won Record of the Year (for the single ‘Sailing’), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (for ‘Sailing’) and Best New Artist, along with Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) (for single ‘Sailing’).

Cross’ career has spanned four decades and more than a dozen albums, with Cross ready to bring his timeless melodies Down Under alongside TOTO.
