ARIA Award 2024 Winners

 

Sydney guitar-pop duo Royel Otis took home a whopping four ARIA Awards while pop singer Troye Sivan scored three awards.

Royel Otis have swept the ARIA Awards 2024, claiming four gongs on the star-studded night at Hordern Pavillion on Gadigal land. The duo won Best Group, Best Rock Album, Engineer - Best Engineered Release (Chris Collins), and Producer - Best Produced Release (Chris Collins).

The Sydney duo's recognition comes after their debut album, PRATTS & PAIN, cracked the ARIA Album Chart top ten and received rave reviews from critics worldwide.

Also winning big at this year’s event was Troye Sivan, who is currently touring Australia after supporting Charli XCX on her US Sweat tour. Sivan won Album of the Year, Best Solo Artist and Best Pop Release, taking his total collection of ARIA Awards to nine.

Other notable winners on the night included Troy Cassar-Daley taking home a statue for Best Country Album, hellraisers Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers winning their first ARIA for Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist, Dom Dolla taking out Best Dance/Electronic Release with his hit ‘Saving Up’ and Nathaniel Miller of Bulman School, Arnhem Land, Northern Territory was awarded the ARIA Music Teacher Award.

Australian music’s night of nights also saw incredible performances from Angie McMahon, who also took home Best Independent Release, Troy Cassar-Daley dueting alongside US country superstar Kane Brown and Aussie great Kasey Chambers, Jessica Mauboy, 3% and Julian Hamilton from The Presets performing stunning renditions of ‘Won’t Stop’ and ‘Our People’ and hometown hero Kid LAROI making his mark with an electrifying live performance.

Closing out the show was 2024 ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Missy Higgins, who performed alongside good friends Amy Shark, Angie McMahon, Gretta Ray, and G Flip.
