South Australia is home to some of the best musical acts in the country, which is exactly what you’ll encounter at The Gov this weekend. BigFest, a local music festival presented by Huge Events and Sugar Tongue, takes place at one of the state’s best venues with a lineup stacked with musical goodness from South Australia’s best newcomers.
Kicking off at 6:00pm on Saturday, November 2, BigFest features six of South Australia’s most exciting bands taking the stage across the evening.
Organisers are promising a night of “indie rock, funk, rock, beer and good vibes,” with BigFest’s stacked bill headlined by punk rock larrikins Looch. Having dropped their debut album Pass The Looch earlier this year, the local lads have been playing shows all across the country and are part of The Note’s own November festival, Notestock 2.
Indie quintet Sugar Tongue, who also helped book BigFest, are also on the bill, fresh from the release of their debut record, Psychedlicate. They will be joined by funk rockers ATTICA and genre-bending guitar rock act Canino Drive.
Evening things out are acoustic guitarist and vocalist Hugh Deeny and folk-pop singer-songwriter Chloe Sea, will bring some calming vibes to the night.
