Fresh from celebrating the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album Black Rat with a national tour, DZ Deathrays are gearing up for one of their biggest tours yet in 2025.

The Weekend Warriors Regional Australian Tour takes in a whopping 24 dates across the nation, with DZ Deathrays hitting up venues in towns such as Margaret River, Geelong, Manly, Tamworth, Capalaba and Beechworth.

Currently on the road performing Black Rat for fans across Europe, the lad’s regional tour also includes a stop in South Australia at Beer & BBQ Fest in Mt Gambier on Sunday, March 9. This will be DZ’s only show in the state, so fans will want to circle this date in their calendar.

The tour announcement comes off the back of the band’s most recent single, ‘First Night Fever’. A rollicking guitar groover, the tune’s music video is another classic from DZ Deathrays, with the clip showing the bad getting progressively drunker as they spend a night painting the town red.

As part of the Weekend Warriors Regional Australian Tour, DZ Deathrays are bringing some of their friends along for the ride, with a host of Australia’s best ratbags playing selected dates on the tour. Last Quokka, Pretty Uglys, Drunk Mums, Mannequin Death Squad, Semantics, Trim Reaper, Private Wives, Goon Gremlins, Itchy & The Nits, Korderoy and No Longer Kids are all performing alongside DZ, with an as-yet to be announced special guest also part of the tour.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via DZ Deathrays website.

Beginning their musical career as members of Brisbane’s Velociraptor, Shane Parsons (vocals/guitar) and Simon Ridley (drums) formed DZ Deathrays in 2008. Eventually recruiting Lachlan Ewbank (lead guitar/vocals), the trio have gone on to release six ARIA charting studio albums, with both Bloody Lovely and Positive Rising: Part 2 peaking at #4 on the ARIA Album Charts.

DZ Deathrays’ last album, 2023’s R.I.F.F, reached #8 on the ARIA Albums Chart, making it their third top-ten album. Spawning the singles ‘King B’, ‘Paranoid’ and ‘Tuff Luck’, the album was well received, with Hysteria Mag calling R.I.F.F. “modern rock cooked to perfection.”

Anyone who has caught DZ Deathrays live knows how good they are, and with the special guests joining them on the road, the Weekend Warriors Regional Australian Tour is shaping up as an absolute belter.

Catch DZ Deathrays at Beer & BBQ Fest at Mt Gambier on Sunday, March 9. Tickets on sale now via Moshtix.
