Choof Announces 2025 Australian Alubm Tour
The Melbourne quartet have escaped the penitentiary and are ready to unleash on audiences across the country next January.

Melbourne’s stoner-grind quartet CHOOF are gearing up for the release of their new album, A Very Special Blend of Psychology and Extreme Violence. Arriving Friday, January 24 (pre-order here and pre-save here), CHOOF promises the album will be extreme, and to celebrate its release, are embarking on an Australian tour in January.
The brutal black metal meets punk grindcore creation that is CHOOF have announced six headline shows, including a free performance at Sydney’s The Duke.
“New album means a new tour ya flogs!” the band posted on social media. “Catch yas on the road in January when we show off all of our mad new songs and take all ya money. Expect nothing less than bodily fluids, blast beats, beers gettin thrown and even more choof debauchery!”
Kicking things off at Brisbane’s Soapbox on Wednesday, January 22, CHOOF have gigs lined up at Canberra’s Pot Belly on Thursday, January 23, Sydney’s The Duke on Friday, January 24, Melbourne’s The Gaso on Saturday, January 25 and Geelong’s Medusa on Sunday, January 26, before wrapping things up at Adelaide’s Crown & Anchor on Monday, January 27.
Special guests for the tour will be announced in the coming weeks, with tickets for all shows on sale now via deadsetrecords.com.
The band have also shared a music video for the tracks ‘Bird Cage’ and ‘Forgotten/Despised’, which you can watch below.

CHOOF’s A Very Special Blend of Psychology and Extreme Violence has been described as a “visceral slab of obnoxious and raw grind, power violence and gut wrenching extreme metal,” so it’s safe to say it’s not for the faint of heart.
Along with the standard black vinyl edition of the record, CHOOF are slinging a special blood and pus coloured version of the record. Fans can also grab a special bundle that not only includes the vinyl but also comes with an album t-shirt, bucket hat, sticker and patch.
