Wilunga’s much-loved Dougstock Music Festival is back for its fifth edition this December with a tremendous lineup of national and local talent.
Held on private property on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7, this year’s festival is headlined by Tassie storyteller Claire Anne Taylor, psychedelic rockers Druid Fluids and noise makers Empty Threats.
Also taking to the stage at this year’s Dougstock are rising synth-rockers TONIX, country soul trio The Jeffries, jazz collective The Elder Conservatorium All-Stars, blues purveyors Chris Finnen Band and soulful four piece Shyla Eve and The Frequencies.
Be sure to look out for sets from funky rockers Custard Pie, jazz ensemble Dougie’s Disciples and jazz fusion act Carl Orr’s London Underground.
DJ EA’SY will bring both evenings to a close with a set of genre-spanning tunes from 60s soul to modern electronica.

Dougstock has been entertaining South Aussies since 2020 when it was first held a few hundred metres west of its current location on Willunga Hill. Initially a celebration of the festival’s namesake Doug’s 40th birthday, the inaugural festival’s lineup included New York Blues Hall of Fame guitarist Chris Finnen, Velvet Moth and Eraser Description.
Over the years Dougstock has grown into a two-day event highlighting incredible musicians from across the country, with a focus on local soul, blues and funk acts. The festival site offers breathtaking views of the Gulf St Vincent and the McLaren Vale wine district, making for a scenic experience for all those who attend.
Along with all the awesome music on display, the festival features a variety of market stalls selling local wares, a Kid’s Zone to keep the young ones entertained, delicious food trucks and a licensed bar to wet the whistle.
This year sees the addition of the Dragonfly Lounge, a quiet and contemplative area where festivalgoers can relax with friends and new acquaintances while sipping the finest teas from The Tea Catcher under a double tipi.
The family-friendly and inclusive event is supported by volunteers and local sponsorship from businesses, with Dougfest fostering a real community vibe amongst punters.
Dougstock is held on private property at 141 Range Road, Willunga from Friday, December 6 to Saturday, December 7. Tickets for the festival are on sale now via Eventbrite.
