Boorloo/Perth indie trio Fool Nelson are pumped to announce their first headline Australian tour.

To coincide with their Fool Australia Tour, which takes place across February and March 2025, the lads have also shared new single, ‘Don’t Feel Right’.

Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (Noah Dillon, Mitch Santiago, Death by Denim), ‘Don’t Feel Right’ is a jittery surf rocker with a feel-good summer vibe. Speaking on the song, the band said: “‘Don’t Feel Right’ is about not taking the people around you for granted. It touches on the idea of growing apart from friends and forgetting about how important certain people are in your life. It’s been a pretty crazy year for us, lots of ‘firsts’ and some awesome opportunities.

Talking about their upcoming tour, the band added: “We’re super excited to be doing our first ever headline Australian tour finally. It’s a big effort to do coming from WA, but now that we’ve got a bit of a taste for it, we’re definitely keen to keep the ball rolling with playing as many shows around the country as we can!”

The Fool Australia Tour kicks off in Tandanya/Adelaide at Crown & Anchor on Friday, February 21 and continues with gigs at Naarm/Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Saturday, February 22, Meanjin/Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on Thursday, February 27, Eora/Sydney’s Waywards on Friday, February 28 and Mulubinba/Newcastle’s King St Bandroom Warehouse on Saturday, March 1.

The final three dates take place in Fool Nelson’s home state WA, with the three-piece performing at The River in Wooditchup/Margaret River on Friday, March 7, Six Degrees in Kinjarling/Albany on Saturday, March 8 and Freo Social in Boorloo/Fremantle on Saturday, March 15.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via foolnelson.com.au.

Comprising brothers Tom and Ned Broadbent and good mate Darcy Steven, Fool Nelson have quickly made a name for themselves as one of Perth’s most exciting acts.

This year the lads dropped their hotly received four-track EP Falling Apart, which features fan favourite ‘Alright’. Speaking on the release, the band said in a statement: “The songs all kind of fit together with a common thread of us accepting that we’re not in control of everything in our lives and finding ways to deal with that. I think some of this comes across with how the songs have moments of chaos but also moments that are pretty and familiar.”

Having supported good mates Old Mervs on their recent Australian and New Zealand tour along with performing at BIGSOUND, Fool Nelson can’t wait to get back on the road in 2025 and perform for their loyal fans across the nation.

Catch Fool Nelson at Crown & Anchor on Friday, February 21. Tickets on sale now via foolnelson.com.au.
