Gary Burrows' career began in the 60s when he took up the drums as a young fella before a mandatory two years in the army put a damper on his music career. When he returned to Australia, Burrows joined the band Brass Carnival, with the group relocating to Sydney. There the band enjoyed moderate success touring the East Coast and supporting the likes of John Farnham and Robin Jolley before Burrows decided to head back to Adelaide.
Back home, Burrows formed Cradle, which then became The Boys, and enjoyed more success as a touring muso. Since then Burrows has gone on to write and record over 200 songs and toured the country countless times.
Having been inducted into the South Australian Country Music Hands/Hall of Fame and the South Australian Music Hall of Fame, Burrows is a well-respected member of the SA music community and continues to entertain music lovers with his passion and performance.
