Indie-Con Australia Reveals First Speakers
The annual conference returns to Adelaide’s Mercury Cinema from July 31 to August 2.

The first speakers at this year’s Indie-Con Australia have been announced, with Lisa Hresko, General Manager of The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) and Nicole Ficenec, Producer and Artist Manager, headlining the conference.
Taking place at Adelaide’s Mercury Cinema from July 31 to August 2, the list of guest speakers also includes Ellie Rumbold from Partisan Records, Emmy Feldman from Heavy Duty and booking agent Stuart Kennedy from ATC.
The three-day conference brings together industry experts who will delve deep into the issues faced by the music industry and indie artists today. The event will also include the 2024 AIR Awards ceremony that honours the best musical talent the country has to offer. Genesis Owusu, Cub Sport, Teen Jesus and & The Jean Teases and Maple Glider are some of the big names in the running to claim awards at this year’s event.
MusicSA’s Scouted, a showcase of local unsigned South Australian bands and artists will bring the Indie-Con Australia to a close.
Early bird tickets are on sale now via Moshtix. Those with an AIR membership save $60, with tickets going for $169 instead of $229, while non-members save $50, with tickets priced at $249 instead of $299.
Along with releasing cheaper tickets to Indie-Con Australia, AIR has cut its membership fees. Associate Member fees are down from $300 to $175, Full Member fees are reduced from $600 to $375 and Australian Distributor memberships are going for $900 instead of $1,500.
And remember, if you’re an independent artist you can become a member for free.
