Embarking on their first tour of Australia since 2017, Mark Steiner & His Problems return this November and December for a string of dates across the country.

Forming an ongoing love affair with Australia after first arriving on our shores in 2008, Steiner has been a regular visitor over the past 16 years. His latest trip comes in support of his new album BLACK HOLE, a melancholic post-rock collection of songs that includes the hazy guitar single, ‘Hang On! (Twin Flames)’.

Steiner’s sixth trip Down Under commences at St. Kilda’s George Lane on Thursday, November 21. Steiner & His Problems continue the tour with shows at The Taproom at Shedshaker Brewing Co. in Castlemaine on Saturday, November 23, The Cave Inn in Brisbane on Friday, November 29, The Wheatsheaf Hotel in Adelaide on Sunday, December 1 and Lazybones in Marrickville on Monday, December 2.

The final three dates take place at Brass Monkey in Cronulla on Wednesday, December 4, One Star Lounge & Gallery in Melbourne on Friday, December 6 and the famed Tote Hotel in Collingwood on Sunday, December 8.

Joining Steiner on tour is his trusted Czech violinist Pavel Cingl, while each show features an electric lineup of noteworthy Australian musos providing support.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via marksteinermusic.com.

Beginning his career in New York, Steiner moved to Oslo, Norway in 2002 after the traumatic events of 9/11. He’s spent the past two decades recording and releasing albums both as a solo artist and with his band His Problems, with BLACK HOLE Steiner’s most recent release.

BLACK HOLE follows on from Mark Steiner & His Problems’ 2014 debut album Saudade, which made it into PBS FM’s Top Ten list of best albums of that year.

Catch Mark Steiner & His Problems at The Wheatsheaf Hotel on Sunday, December 1. Tickets on sale now via Oztix.
