The Melbourne rapper will be performing all your favourite tracks from A Mind of My Own.
It’s hard to believe but Pez’s debut album, A Mind of My Own, is 15 years old. The record won Best Independent Hip Hop/Urban Album at the AIR Awards, spawned the summer hit ‘The Festival Song’ and turned Perry Chapman, aka Pez, into a national star.
In celebration of the album’s 15th anniversary, Pez has announced a huge Australian tour, taking in 12 venues nationwide during June and July.
The first half of the tour begins at the Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney on Friday, June 7 before making stops at King Street Warehouse in Newcastle on Saturday, June 8, Lamby’s in Geelong on Friday, June 14, Volta in Ballarat on Saturday, June 15, Sooki Lounge in Belgrave on Thursday, June 20, Pelly Bar in Frankston on Friday, June 21 and Howler in Melbourne on Friday, June 28.
Pez then makes his return to Adelaide with a show at Jive on Thursday, July 4 before hitting Milk Bar in Perth on Saturday, July 6, Vinnies Dive Bar on the Gold Coast on Thursday, July 11, The Brightside in Brisbane on Friday, July 12 before ending things at Solbar in Maroochydore on Saturday, July 13.
The tour comes after a period of inactivity from Pez, whose last album, Don’t Look Down, was released in 2016. Although the ‘One Life’ and ‘Weekend’ rapper has continued to perform live, most recently supporting his good friend 360 on tour last year, Pez has kept his musical output to a minimum.
