RONA. Collaborates with KYE On New Single ‘Burn It’
The track arrived on the anniversary of the First Nations Voice to Parliament referendum.
Emerging electronic producer and DJ RONA. has delivered another adrenaline shot with latest single, ‘Burn It’.
Released on the anniversary of the First Nations Voice to Parliament referendum, the track features Zimbabwe-born, Naarm-based soul artist KYE and address outdated laws and regulations impacting First Nations people and the need to change the way we treat them.
During the song RONA. urges us to “Burn it to the ground” in regard to the current systems and make Australia a more inclusive place for First Nations people.
“It was a moment of clarity—our collective need to burn down systems that have never served us, that are suffocating our communities. It was a recognition that colonial systems haven’t been serving any of us. To heal, to reimagine, we need to create space for new shoots, for new journey lines,” RONA. says of the song.
