Rising Aussie singer-songwriter Ruby Fields has dropped her first new tune of 2025 – the rollicking indie guitar shaker, ‘92 Purebred’. To celebrate the single’s release, Fields has also announced a ten-date national tour kicking off in Adelaide next month.

Taking to Instagram to announce the tour, Fields revealed she would be donating $1 from every ticket sold to charity. “Taking 92 on tooz!!” the statement reads. “Put ya pennies where your mouth is and buy a ticket to a show near you. We’re taking $1 from each ticket and donating it to Kulai Pre-School Aboriginal Corporation.”

Fields 92 Purebred tour begins with a special acoustic solo show at The Scenic Hotel in Adelaide on Friday, February 21. The following day, Saturday, February 22, Fields heads down the coast to perform at the third edition of the punk rock festival Nice Day To Go To The Club.

The ‘Dinosaurs’ and ‘P Plates’ singer then has gigs lined up at Brisbane’s Lefty’s on Thursday, March 6, Sunshine Coast’s Kings Beach Tavern on Friday, March 7, Gold Coast’s Burleigh Town Hall on Saturday, March 8, Cronulla’s Brass Monkey on Friday, March 14 and Wombarra’s Wombarra Bowlo on Saturday, March 15.

The final three shows of the tour take place at Newcastle’s King St Warehouse on Sunday, March 16, Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal on Friday, March 21 and the Torquay Theatre on Saturday, March 22.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via rubyfields.com.

Ruby Fields burst onto the Oz music scene in 2018 with the release of her debut EP, Your Dad's Opinion for Dinner. Containing triple j favs ‘I Want’, ‘P Plates’ and ‘Ritalin’, the EP’s success led to Fields performing at SXSW and supporting Ball Park Music and San Cisco.

She dropped her debut album, Been Doin' It for a Bit, in 2021, with the record hitting the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart. Since then, things have been rather quiet on the new music front, but ‘92 Purebred’ is a welcome return from Fields, with her sophomore album hopefully on its way.

Catch Ruby Fields at The Scenic Hotel on Friday, February 21 and at Nice Day To Go To The Club on Saturday, February 22. For full ticketing details visit rubyfields.com.
