Local Supports Revealed for Ripper Owens Australian Tour
Adelaide’s Nakatomi Plaza and Skyhammer have got the nod.

It’s less than a month until heavy metal vocalist Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens touches down in Australia. The former voice behind iconic acts Judas Priest, Iced Earth, Yngwie Malmsteen and Dio's Disciples, who has also fronted KK’s Priest, Spirits of Fire, the Three Tremors and A New Revenge, is ready to unleash his powerful vocals for fans to enjoy this February.
Ahead of his fast-selling tour, the local acts supporting Owens on tour have finally been announced. The Dead City Ruins and Rawtism will perform with Owens at Melbourne’s The Corner Hotel on Friday, February 16, Temtris and Bastardizer will be the support for the Crowbar gig in Sydney on Thursday, February 20 and Asylum and 308 take to the stage at Brisbane’s Crowbar on Saturday, February 22. Nakatomi Plaza and Skyhammer have been recruited for Ripper’s Adelaide show at The Gov on Sunday, February 23 and Silent Knight are locked in for the final gig of the tour at Perth’s Amplifier on Monday, February 24.

Owens’ Australian return sees the man with the unhuman vocal range performing alongside brothers Joel and Jordan McDonald, Andrew Hudson and Voya Mulitinovic.
Along with the standard general admission tickets, there are limited VIP Meet & Greet tickets on offer. These tickets give punters early access to the venue and the merch stand, a photo opportunity with Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, a signed Australian tour poster, an exclusive VIP lanyard and the chance to have three personal items signed by the great man.
Fans attending can expect to hear songs spanning Owens’ nearly 35-year career, with the heavy metal master performing classic hits, deep album cuts and a stack of surprises.
