SPEED Announce ‘Only One Mode’ Australian Homecoming Tour
Aussie hardcore punks SPEED return for a national tour this August and September.
Rising Aussie hardcore beasts SPEED make their triumphant return to Australia with a massive national tour in support of their forthcoming debut album, Only One Mode, out July 12.
Named "One of the most important hardcore bands in Australia" by KERRANG!, the five-piece will be ripping it up in venues across the country this September and October, playing tracks from Only One Mode live for the first time, along with fan favourites.
The six-date tour commences in Brisbane at the Princess Theatre on Thursday, August 22. SPEED then plays a gig in Sydney at the Enmore Theatre on Friday, August 23 before lining up two shows in Melbourne at Stay Gold on Thursday, August 29 and Northcote Theatre on Friday, August 30. The final dates of the tour include Unibar in Adelaide on Saturday, August 31 and Magnet House in Perth on Sunday, September 1.
Tickets go on sale this Thursday, June 6 at 8:30am via Moshtix.
SPEED is bringing along some friends on the tour, with UK post-punk act High Vis, American hardcore outfit Pain of Truth and fiesty Singaporean ragers Fuse playing all six dates of the tour. Local support will also be announced closer to the tour kicking off.
In a fantastic gesture of goodwill, $10,000 of profits from the ‘Only One Mode’ tour will be donated to the Women’s & Girls’ Emergency Centre in Redfern, Sydney, an organisation helping women and families escape domestic violence.
An additional $10,000 will also be donated to Merciful Group, supporting Palestinian refugees in Australia.
You can pre-order/pre-save Only One Mode here and get your tickets for SPEED’s Adelaide show at UniBar here.
