The Script Announce Headline A Day on the Green Tour

The Irish rockers will be joined by special guests Calum Scott, Montaigne, X Ambassadors and Lotte Gallagher.

Roundhouse Entertainment and Frontier Touring are excited to announce The Script are bringing their Satellites World Tour Down Under in January and February 2025.

The Irish rockers are touring in support of their soon-to-be-released seventh album, Satellites, with seven huge shows locked in across the country. The Script will be making their A Day on the Green debut, with five outdoor performances – including a stop at Peter Lehmann Wines in the gorgeous Barossa Valley on Sunday, February 2 – and two arena shows.

“Australia always holds a special place in our touring hearts so we can’t wait to come back early 2025 to play the hits and new songs from our forthcoming new album Satellites,” The Scripts Danny O’Donoghue says.

The Script isn’t doing it alone, bringing a wealth of musical talent along for the ride. BRIT Award-nominated crooner Calum Scott, Sydney pop sensation Montaigne, pop rock trio X Ambassadors and Melbourne singer-songwriter Lotte Gallagher are all supporting The Script on their A Day on the Green 2025 tour.

The tour kicks off with two theatre shows at WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong on Tuesday, January 28 and ICC Sydney Theatre in Sydney on Thursday, January 30.

The Script and co then embark on five headline A Day on the Green performances, with the first taking place at Bimbadgen in the Hunter Valley on Saturday, January 25. This is followed by outdoor performances at Sirromet Wins in Mount Cotton on Sunday, January 26, Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong on Saturday, February 1 and Peter Lehmann Wines in the Barossa Valley on Sunday, February 2. The final date of the tour takes place s at Burswood Park in Perth on Wednesday, February 5.

When it comes to tickets, there are two pre-sales before the general sale commences. The first is for AMMI customers which begins on Tuesday, August 6 at 9:30am local time via AAMI Events and Experiences. The second is A Day on the Green members pre-sale which also kicks off on Tuesday, August 6 at 9:30am local time via A Day on the Green. General public on sale occurs Friday, August 9 at 11:30am local time via Ticketmaster

The Script recently announced the release of their highly anticipated seventh album, Satellites, dropping Friday, August 16 via BMG Australia (available for pre-order here). This is the chart-topping Irish group’s first studio album since the passing of much-loved bandmate and guitarist Mark Sheehan.

The album’s latest single, ‘At Your Feet’ (listen above), is another classic The Script tune about love and connection, themes that run through Satellites.

“The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who's been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there”, says lead singer Danny O’Donoghue on the legacy of their adored bandmate. “He always will be, but it's also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It'll never be the same Script. We're just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that’s to keep making more great music.”

Exploding onto the scene in 2008 with their debut self-titled album, The Script has become not only one of the biggest acts to come out of Dublin but the world. All six of their studio albums have topped the Irish Albums Chart, achieving more than 10 billion streams and 12 million album sales worldwide.

The Script has also gained a huge following in Australia, with all of their albums reaching the top 20 ARIA Album Charts and their tours continually selling out.
