Velvet Bloom Plots 2025 Australian Tour

2025 is shaping as a huge year for Velvet Bloom. The soul collective, who recently put pen to paper with Yama-Nui Records, are preparing for the release of their highly anticipated self-titled debut album.
Arriving Friday, March 28, Velvet Bloom is 11 tracks of gorgeous soul meets funk and pop-infused beats anchored by Maddy Herbert’s compelling vocals and introspective lyrics. Produced by band member Alex Marko, four singles have been lifted from the album so far – ‘My Love’, ‘Time’, ‘Silver Tongue’ and ‘Best in You’, which features the incredible talents of jazz clarinettist Brennan Hamilton-Smith.
Along with announcing the release of their studio debut, Velvet Bloom have revealed a monster 23-date Australian tour that includes both free and ticketed events in all seven states and territories.
Beginning with an in-store performance at Northside Records in Naarm (Melbourne) on Friday, March 28, the band then crisscrosses their way around the country playing at a mix of venues in small towns and capital cities before ending the tour in Adelaide at the Grace Emily Hotel on Saturday, July 12.

Gaining popularity with the release of their 2022 EP Glimmer, the quartet of Alex Markowitsch (guitar, bass, production), Miguel Hutton (keys, synth, synth bass and percussion), Nic Morton (drums) and Maddy Herbert (guitars, vocalist and primary songwriter) have built quite the reputation in Naarm’s music scene.
Velvet Bloom have performed at some of Australia’s best venues and festivals, including The Night Cat, The NGV, Loch Hart Music Festival, MONA, St Kilda Festival and Mordi Fest. Their music has been added to Spotify playlists such as The Local List, Soulful Day and Fresh Finds, while also receiving love from community radio stations Triple R, PBS FM and 4ZZZ alongside Triple J, ABC and more.
