You can’t assign a genre to The Mondays’ latest EP Live Like This – but that’s the point. This electric three-piece borrows noise from all genres to sculpt a sound that’s fuzzy, full and familiar all at once. We love it – particularly the sixth track on the release, ‘Tell You Anyway (You & Me)’. An indie guitar groove is met with distorted vocals and an electronic pop beat to create a song that sounds like the best bits of The 1975 and Bon Iver during his 22, A Million era. An exciting new chapter for this band. Let’s see where they take us next.
